What is impressive to me is the fact that Florida has no state income tax, and an Amendment to our Constitution was passed this year reducing our property taxes. So during a year like Florida has had, being one of the states with the most foreclosures, receiving an honor like this is doubly impressive in my eyes.

A fiscally-conservative governor will attract more businesses to Florida, which is good for our economic outlook. Congratulations, Governor Crist!  Just another reason I'm glad to live in Florida - besides the beautiful waterfront sunsets, of course :)

The Reverend Burrows moved with his wife Ella and their son William, who had contracted Tuberculosis. They moved from New York and Burrows also worked in lumber after the War.
